Cool, Everyday Stuff that Happens to Taylor White Now and Again

---Scheduling my classes at school is working out so far. Hopefully this keeps up and I'm able to have flexible choices as I work around the art courses here that are so hard to get into. (This is important since it all got very close to going very, very wrong).

---My ring in metals is going alright. It's not coming out exactly the way I'd planned, though the way I'd planned wasn't very realistic in the first place. At least it's getting done. So meh.

---High Museum shows and Jewelry show volunteerings... have not had any progression yet as I wait for them to actually happen, but they are happening! So that's very good. Fun things to do.

---Also, I got a hand-me-down sewing machine set up in my room! It's a lot older than the other one I have in here... which is very old, but I'm sure it works fine. I haven't tried it out yet, but it is sitting there, being magnificent.

This is all really interesting.

Yay Artsy Things

I emailed my High Museum submission this weekend. I sent in Drawn Sideways, Rings, and Tree Cloud Mountains. I'm not entirely pleased with my photos, since I am in no way a photographer, but I'm hoping they're used to that and can assume that my pieces have a little more contrast to them.

Meanwhile, I have started a new project in Metals! It's to be a ring, so naturally I would design one incorporating doors. It should be pretty neat. The idea is supposed to be doors that are sort of growing out of the ground / been abandoned and lying on the ground for so long that nature has sort of taken over them.

The planning stages are ...still being planned, but I'm sure everything will be fine.

Paper model that is rather deceptive and inaccurate when it comes to measuring out the actual metal.

High Museum?

Currently working on piece to submit to the High Museum, organized through KSU. Also deciding on including Drawn, Rings, and Tree-Cloud-Mountains.

There's still a few minor details to clean up, but this is essentially the finished piece. Deadline's coming up fast though. Need to hurry up and finish so I can photograph it with something other than my phone.
