My Ring is Complete!

I don't have a picture.

But!
It's still pretty cool.

Actually, I still want to do a patina. But as of thursday it was officially turn-into-professor worthy.

Our last project is a small circular box with acid etching on it. I've decided that since my last two were very textured and colorful, I want this one to be sweet and simple and perfect.

I'm pretty excited about it.

Images soon!

Progress Report

My ring project is starting to look like a ring now! The soldering process is not going exactly as planned, but I'm sure I'll be able to at least get it to not move around when I put all of the pieces together.

Observe my pieces:

They're nice and pickly pink instead of silver and copper, but I'm sure that'll change before its due. All that's left to do is solder the seam holding that outside part of the ring band to the whistle-shaped walls, (right now it's just kind of sitting there), attach the two doors to the top, and then a bottom wall underneath the section jutting out the side.

Surely I can do this all in one day, right? And that's not including any patinas I'll have to do outside of class.

Soldering big things is hard, you guys.
